Mavka - Ukrainian Symbols collection

This capsule collection was inspired by Ukrainian symbols as well as famous Ukrainian artist Maria Prymachenko and was created especially for 'Even the Forest Hums: Ukrainian Sonic Archives 1971-1996' vinyl presentation event in Los Angeles. This record is the first comprehensive collection of Ukrainian music recorded prior to, and immediately following, the USSR’s collapse.

With these pieces, I wanted to be a part of remembering to cultivate culture that is being oppressed.
